Ashram of Sadguru “Jangli Maharaj” is located on this road and hence it is named as JM Road which is one of the best maintained road in Pune.
Jangli Maharaj road is the first 80 feet road and also the first tar road in the Pune City. It was built in between 1939-1944 by M. D. Dalvi. BA, AMIES (Glasgow) Chief Officer of Poona City Municipality. The road starts from Sancheti Hospital (Shivaji Nagar) and ends at Garware Bridge.
. Located adjacent to the temple is the protected monument of Pataleshwar Caves The temple presents a beautiful picture of old world charm and is located on right side of the JM Road. On this road many of the Food Courts are located serving range of cuisines, This area is also popular amongst students as colleges are located here.
The main attraction of this road is “Sambhaji Park” as it has occupied largest section of this road. Bal Gandharva Rangmadir (Auditorium) is located at the corner of Sambahaji Park and J M Road.
