The Mumbai Pune Express Way is also known as Yashwantrao Chavan Mumbai –Pune Expressway. It is India’s 1st concrete expressway with high-speed an access controlled tolled expressway. It is one of the India’s busiest roads.
The expressways reduce the travel time between Mumbai and Pune and also it has replaced the older Mumbai-Pune stretch to the Mumbai-Chennai national highway. It has carriageway with three concrete lanes. This road has improved transport between two metro cities and helped the city economic. Toll is collected at Khalapur and Talegaon. The express way has also connected the cities like, Satara, Sangli, Kolhapur, Belgaum, Hubli and Bangalore.
